CVS to Stop Selling Tobacco Products

CVS, a large chain health pharmacy, has announced that it will stop selling tobacco products at the end of the year.

In recent jaw-dropping news, CVS, a pharmacy focused on health and wellness, has just announced they will stop selling tobacco products in their stores by October 1st.  According to CVS, the product does not align with their mission of providing health services to the public.   When such a dramatic announcement is made, it is important to consider all aspects of public relations, with online reputation being a one of them.  CVS would benefit from the reputation management services of Centel Media™, a top online reputation management company, in order to monitor and manage the press after such a large public announcement.  Centel Media™ online reputation management services offer tools that allow a customer to track and manage online reputation, in real time, at their own convenience.

This is no small announcement, as CVS receives $2 billion a year from tobacco customers, which may cause shares of CVS will go down a substantiable amount. It still yet to be seen whether other pharmacies will follow by attempting the same stunt.  If CVS manages to continue its recent profitable path, others will probably march the same path. As CVS is the first to try this, none will be as jarring or create such a media blitz as this recent announcement.

In addition to stopping the sale of tobacco products, CVS will be creating a stop-smoking program later this year. Resources will be available in-store and online.  The sale of tobacco cessation products, such as nicotine patches, will continue to be sold in stores.

Hopefully, this move by CVS will hopefully have a domino effect on the health of the general public. Tobacco use causes premature death such as cancer, heart disease, and respiratory disease.  According to the CDC, one in every five deaths is a result of cigarette smoking, and tobacco use is the leading cause of preventable death in the US. Almost half a million people in the US die every year from smoking, including second-hand smoke.

CVS has received an overwhelming amount of public support, but online reputation is notoriously fickle. It is important that they continue to represent themselves in such a positive manner, and continue to manage their online reputation through companies such as Centel Media™. Way to go, CVS, for putting your companys’ morals ahead of profit margins.

Control For Controversial Commercials

Even though commercials aired during the superbowl are extremely popular some of them receive a massive amount of negative reviews online. Top online reputation management company, Centel Media offers negative review suppression services that could help those companies and others bounce back from negative backlash.

Millions of viewers tune in every year to watch the superbowl for the intense game, awesome halftime show, and of course the entertaining commercials. The SuperBowl is the one event and probably the only time where people actually look forward to commercials interrupting their regularly scheduled programming. Companies fight to remain on the minds of viewers by the end of the night. In order to accomplish this, many of those companies try to touch the hearts of their potential customers and others take major risks with their ads. Landing a commercial spot during the superbowl has to be one of the biggest platforms of publicity for any company but not every ad is an easy win.
For example, this year Coca Cola attempted to pull at America’s heart strings by displaying Americans of a variety of ethnicities all singing “America the Beautiful”. The ad was meant to celebrate what America is about, which is diversity. However, not everyone felt the way that Coca Cola had hoped they would. As a matter of fact some viewers felt the exact opposite, calling the ad “un-American”. Viewers even took to Twitter and created the phrase “Speak American” which began trending immediately after. Since the SuperBowl generates such a wide audience the risk of offending a portion of viewers is almost one that you can’t avoid.
Negative reviews such as the ones I referenced before and those that may be similar are usually written in an impulsive and angered state. The person responsible probably isn’t even aware of the damage they may have caused someone’s brand or company. Other times the person who writes these negative responses is someone who may have had some previous grudge against the company they’re targeting, such as being fired by the company or even being an owner of a rival company. This is why top online reputation company, Centel Media™ assists companies with this problem by offering their negative review suppression services. In regards to the service, Centel Media™ employees will create an impressive amount of positive and most importantly truthful reviews about your company.
These reviews will be posted throughout the internet on important sites that usually generate a lot of reviews. The positive reviews written by Centel Media™ professionals will suppress the negative ones and promote your business at the same time.Centel Media™ is dedicated to helping the true identity of your business shine through all the negativity.

A family is now suing Petco after their son died from rat-bite fever. Top online reputation management company  Centel Media™ helps their clients rebuild from disastrous moments with their negative article suppression services.

A family from San Diego, California is suing Petco after their 10-year old son died from a bacterial infection he contracted from a pet rat which he bought from their store. The lawsuit was filed earlier this week by attorney John Gomez for an unknown amount to compensate the family for the pain and suffering they endured over the loss of their child. The 10-year old victim Aiden Pankey was rushed to the hospital on June 12, 2013 for severe stomach pains which resulted in his passing only hours later. The cause of death was ruled as streptobacillus moniliformis infection, which is also known as rat-bite fever, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Instead of remaining silent as many companies do, Petco released a statement expressing their deepest sympathies for what happened to the child. It read as follows: "We are deeply saddened by the Pankey family's tragic loss, the health and safety of people and pets is always a top priority, and we take the family's concerns very seriously." Releasing such a heartfelt statement was a great decision for the future of their company and their reputation. A horrible and unfortunate incident such as the one previously described can be extremely hard to come back from, especially from the Internet where all information is pretty much accessible. Top online reputation management company  Centel Media™ helps clients do just that; we want you to be able to bounce back. Our negative article suppression services helps clients dig their way through the negative articles that pile up on search engine’s result pages.
When utilizing the negative suppression service,  Centel Media™ staff of creative professionals will write a plethora of honest and positive articles which will come up on any major search engine results page. The first thing that should appear on your page is you or your business’s official website, not negative material. We are aware of the inner workings of sites such as Google and know how to displace the negative material. Using this service will allow current and future customers for your business to see what really matters.  Centel Media™ goal for each client is to help them obtain the kind of reputation that they not only want but the kind they deserve as well.

Apple's Fixed Press Release

Apple released a press release recently regarding their new app called Fixed for the iPhone, which will help people fight parking tickets. Releasing a press release is one of the best marketing moves you can make for a business. Centel Media is the top online reputation management company and even they offer their clients press release services to help them further their success.

Apple has found a way to exceed their competition yet again as the iPhone releases an innovative application to their users. What’s the one thing that most people have in common no matter what gender, ethnicity, or background? They all hate getting parking tickets, especially a ticket that was wrongfully distributed. Unfortunately many people just surrender their hard earned money to pay these tickets because they don’t have the time to fight them. If that’s the case, this new app called Fixed is just for you.
The new app claims to do exactly what you don’t have the time or energy to do which is fight those parking tickets. If the Fixed app is successful in beating the ticket you will only have to pay 25% of what the actual citation would’ve cost. However if the app is unsuccessful with helping users to contest their tickets then the labor is free. The app is similar to walking around with a lawyer in your pocket. Not only will the app collect supporting evidence and submit paperwork for appeals but it will also help you find a cab, order food, and find a hotel.
David Hegarty is the co-founder of the new app and claims to have come up with the idea after he had a bad day, which involved him getting six parking tickets. Hegarty further explained his inspiration for creating the app by saying “When you mention parking tickets to people it engenders such an emotional reaction ... because so many people think they've received an unfair parking ticket.” The app will be available to iPhone users next week but Apple sent out pressreleases promoting the app already. Press releases are usually written and used to inform the public about upcoming products and services. Apple definitely made the right choice with sending out press releases for their new app because besides promotions they are also good for suppressing any negative articles.
Pressreleases are usually one of the first things that Internet users click on when browsing search engines about your company. Top online reputation management company Centel Media™  allows their clients to fully gain these benefits by offering them press release services. Their team of professionals will design press releases that are tailored specifically to your marketing plan and reputation needs. When using press release services the experts at Centel Media™  also use the latest technology and best ORM practices to get the results that their client wants. The more press releases that are released from Centel Media™  about your company the further any negative search results will get pushed down. Press releases are essential to any business and having a professional firm like Centel Media™  behind them is even better at guaranteeing maximum effectiveness when the need arises to advertise your products and services..

Consequences of Winning the Lottery

Northern California has sold the $425 million winning powerball ticket to one winner.  While fantasizing about winning is fun, such a large sum of money comes with consequences to personal privacy.

If you’re a dreamer like me, winning the lottery has always been a fantastic, but tangible dream. I’ve spent hours finding ridiculously extravagant items: castles in France, suits of armor, luxurious libraries, golden toilet paper, and oceanfront property. The list goes on and on.  I even have a Pinterest account titled “lottery”.  I realize I am never going to win. But the pure fun my brain has from imaginating the ways my life would change is worth the $2 dollar price tag of a ticket.

It was announced that one winning Powerball ticket worth $425 million was sold in Northern California.  The gas station, Dixon Landing Chevron, will receive a $1 million dollar prize for selling the winning ticket.  Nobody has come forward to claim it; it usually takes a few days for someone to get it together.  Only six states in the US allow the winner to remain anonymous: South Carolina, Delaware, Maryland, North Dakota, Kansas, and Ohio. There are ways around this; some states allow an individual to remain anonymous if they claim the money through a trust or a company.

This is the sixth largest jackpot in the US.  The largest was a $656 million Mega Millions split by three separate winners in March 2012.  The odds of winning the jackpot is staggering - about 1 in 175 million.  But somebody has to win, right? Despite the fact that these odds are not in my favor, I buy tickets anyway, and so do thousands of other hopeful souls.  We know we are not going to win. But we can still hope and dream.

Sadly, if I ever did actually win the lottery, there are many serious things to consider.  A huge sum of money comes with huge responsibility and obviously, power.   Online reputation management companies such as Centel Media™ can help, with services such as Negative Article Suppression that are essential to maintaining a positive place on the internet.  I’d like to enjoy my Pinterest account without being hassled by negative publicity, thank you very much!  If you happen to have unflattering photos of yourself on a social media site, or any site, consider Centel Media™ Negative Image Suppression service.

Such things as online reputation management may be overlooked in such tumultuous times.  There are other pending decisions to be made. Who do I tell? What lawyer do I use?  Who do I share this with? Should I move? And so on. Don’t forget that it is important to have control of what information the media decides to grab ahold of and publicize. While these aren’t as fun as my Pinterest dreams, they are pretty important. There are more things in life that equal happiness than just money.  Online reputation has a dramatic effect on quality of life, and no amount of money can erase the pain of having the world see in you in a negative light.

Netflix Deals With Consumer Frustrations

Netflix has received their best consumer satisfaction rating in three years. Feedback from customers is extremely important. Online reputation management company Centel Media™ offers their clients negative review suppression services as a way to help them fully utilize the benefits (and not the negatives) of customer reviews.

Netflix, the American provider of on-demand Internet streaming media should be very proud of itself. The company took a major hit in the customer satisfaction department in 2011 due to its increase in fees but it has recently found its way to a miraculous comeback. On Wednesday, The American Customer Satisfaction Index registered the company’s total score as the biggest yearly increase compared to rival online retailers. This research was compiled by using a survey that was taken by tens of thousands of consumers. The American Customer Satisfaction Index, or ACSI as it is usually called, look at the customer opinions of over 230 American companies.
Netflix’s previous score in 2012 from ACSI was a modest 75. In one year, Netflix’s score bumped up 4% making their total score a solid 79. A 79 may seem like a small victory from last year but it compared brilliantly next to the decline in the competition. Ebay, Overstock, and Netflix are all placed together in an online retailer category even though they differ in products. Both Ebay and Overstock suffered an overall decline in their customer satisfaction rating which allowed Netflix and their score of 79 to shine victoriously.
The founder of ACSI, Claes Fornell said he feels that the decline of the customer satisfaction ratings for both Ebay and Overstock, originate from the frustration customers displayed regarding delayed last-minute holiday presents. Due to the booming popularity of online shopping, customers reviews are more important than ever. The Internet has raised the level of competition completely. Many consumers research a business before deciding whether or not to purchase a product from them. It’s impossible to please everyone but having good customer reviews can do wonders for a business’s online reputation.
Top online reputationmanagement company Centel Media™ focuses on the development of their client’s online reputation which is why they offer negative review suppression services. Even though consumer reviews are important to any business owner they are often taken for granted by the person posting it. Negative reviews are usually written in the heat of the moment and often consumers aren’t even aware of how much they’re stretching the truth or how much they are harming a business owner and his or her employees. For businesses, when reading negative consumer reviews it’s always a good idea to consider who is wrote them because most of the time there is an extremely biased outlook from these commentators. Leaving negative reviews is the easiest way to purposely slander the competition.
Vengeful employees and members of a business’s competition often leave negative reviews as well. Centel Media™ employees create a large amount of positive reviews and post them on popular sites such as Merchant Circle and Yelp. The reviews created by these professionals are also unbiased because they come from not only the client but their employees and customers as well. Centel Media™ takes their job of retrieving as many positive reviews for their clients very seriously.

Michael Sam: Undeserved Negative Attention

Football player, Michael Sam’s announcement regarding his sexuality has ignited thousands of reviews online both positive and negative. Top online reputation management company,  Centel Media™ offers clients negative review suppression services to help rid them of negative search results.

Michael Sam has become a household name overnight when the former Missouri defensive lineman announced that he is in fact a gay man. Sam spoke publicly for the first about his sexuality to both ESPN and The New York Times. The All-American lineman is eligible for the 2014 NFL draft on Thursday, May 8th which has heightened the talk surrounding the scandal. No athlete in the history of sports has ever made such an announcement right before an attempt to be picked up by a team in the NFL draft. Michael Sam’s own father didn’t have such a great initial reaction to his sons bombshell news, even though he recently claimed to have had his words taken out of context.
Should he have even announced it? Why did he have to announce it now? Was it a strategic move to get attention before the draft? Is this too much drama for any contending team to want to take part in. All of these questions (among others that are much worse) have filled online search results regarding Michael Sam. This small piece of information has succeeded in taking the public’s attention away from what it should be on, which is his talent and capability to play the game.
People usually write negative reviews online in an irrational state of mind but attacking someone like this is also the easiest way to generate traffic to someone else’s website or business. Nobody or business is perfect and there isn’t a bullet proof plan to completely eliminate negative reviews online but unnecessary reviews causes an immense amount of damage. Top online reputation management company,  Centel Media™ is a company that is dedicated to assisting their clients in portraying the truth about their business or brand online.  Centel Media™ offers services such as negative review suppression to help their clients gain control over their presence online which is exactly what someone in Michael Sam’s situation needs.  Centel Media™ large team of professionals collaborates with the client and create a massive amount of truthful and positive reviews on the Internet.
Clients of  Centel Media™ can rest knowing that these reviews aren’t biased because they come from not only their own employees but their customer and fans as well. Once completed, the reviews will be posted on a list of specific and important sites in order to suppress the negative ones.  Centel Media™ restores balance that the media sometimes takes away from people like Michael Sam.

Republican Rand Paul Antagonizes the Clintons

Republican Rand Paul reignites the old Monica Lewinsky affair by demanding that the Democrats return any money raised by “predator” Bill Clinton, creating negative press for his potential 2016 presidential opponent, Hillary Clinton.

Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul has rehashed the old Monica Lewinsky scandal by recently claiming that the money received by the Democratic Party from Bill Clinton’s fundraising should be returned immediately.  Rand Paul also recently publically dubbed Bill Clinton a “sexual predator” for his relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky during his presidency. Paul’s bitter public comments against the Clintons go back to 2010 and his harsh criticism is making front page headlines, resulting in a diminished online reputation for all involved.  Everyone, not just politicians, should be concerned and proactive about protecting their onlinereputation, and consult an online reputation management company such as Centel Media™.  Centel Media™ offers many brand and reputation management services such as Negative Video Suppression  and Press Releases for both public figures, individuals, and companies alike.

Paul is claiming that by keeping any money raised by Bill Clinton, the Democrats are effectively squashing women’s rights, the very cause they claim to support.  According to Paul, the GOP has no right to take a position on women’s rights if they continue to take money raised by Clinton. Clinton has always been prolific and effective at raising funds for his political party; an asset to the causes he believes in.  While the exact amount of money the Clintons have raised for their political party is unknown, it has been estimated to be over an astounding two billion dollars.

Paul’s targeting of such political firehouses seems to be more of a strategic move rather than the fact that he actually believes in supporting women’s rights. If the GOP did follow Rand Paul’s advice and stopped receiving support from Bill Clinton, they would suffer severe loss of not only monetary support, but strategic power as well.  Hillary Clinton’s 2016 potential presidential candidacy is bound to be affected by all this negative press.

Many public figures, such as Senator Claire McCaskill, are jumping to the defense of the Clintons’.  McCaskill has stated that it is unfair of Paul to use the Clinton scandal against the entire Democratic Party and their stance on women’s rights, especially since he is basing his accusations on something that happened so many years ago. All of this bitter infighting just shows how bad negative imagery can ruin a civil conversation.

It’s Time to Tweet a Redesign

Twitter users may have noticed a change to their profiles recently as the website unveiled its new look. The popular social networking site which inhabits around 645,750,000 users has completely left its comfort zone. Now the site slightly resembles Facebook by adopting a tweet stream and focusing more on photos. Those who designed the website have added a new category for users to keep track of photos and videos along with their lists, favorites, and followers. Twitter developers have also added an option for the stream to show not only "Tweets" but "Tweets and replies" for every user, which was a luxury reserved previously for verified members only.

It’s not the first time that Twitter has tested out certain adjustments and used a large user base for feedback. With the success of newer sites such as Instagram, it’s a great business move for Twitter to spice up their website, which hasn't changed very much lately. The once number one social networking site has recently admitted to having a major decline in user growth due to its lack of user friendliness. Also the decline has forced Twitter to take a major cut in the stock department. Revamping their website design could actually help save the social network from crashing to the ground.

Centel Media™ is the top online reputation management company today and they are fully dedicated to the development of their client’s online reputationCentel Media™ has assisted a lot of companies with their website by offering website design services. Your website is a direct representation of your company or brand and it’s important that the structure of your website is left in capable hands. A company website should be as creative as possible without losing any of its professionalism and easy accessibility.

Centel Media™ expert team of writer and graphic artists collaborate to create a website that their client can be proud of. The graphics side of the team creates logos and images that will help to draw in potential clients. The literary side of the team creates interesting articles to include in the client’s website. All of these different aspects will help to deliver traffic to the client’s site. A well designed website can be that thing that sets you a part from the competition.
